Abstract

Adapting a clutch (2) for a vehicle (4) includes outputting (S2) a parameter to the clutch (2) in order to operate the clutch (2) using the parameter, receiving (S3) an operating parameter corresponding to the operation of the clutch (2), determining (S4) a clutch temperature using a neural network configured to determine the clutch temperature based on a learned relationship between the clutch temperature and the received operating parameter, determining (S5) whether clutch temperature corresponds to a target temperature; and if the determined clutch temperature corresponds to the target temperature, outputting (S6) the parameter to the clutch (2) in order to adapt the clutch (2) using the parameter. Also disclosed is a computing unit (6) configured to carry out the method and a vehicle (4) having a clutch (2) adapted by means of a computing unit (6) that carries out the method.
