Three servovalve thrust reverser actuator system

A method of operating an engine thrust reverser comprising a first thrust-reversing element movable between a first stowed position and a first deployed position and a second thrust-reversing element movable between a second stowed position and a second deployed position, the method comprising:

• transitioning the first thrust-reversing element from the first stowed position to the first deployed position by conveying fluid from a pressurized fluid source to a first hydraulic actuator coupled to the first thrust-reversing element;
• transitioning the second thrust-reversing element from the second stowed position to the second deployed position by conveying fluid from the pressurized fluid source to a second hydraulic actuator coupled to the second thrust-reversing element;
• conveying fluid from the pressurized fluid source to an electrohydraulic servo valve operable to selectively route fluid between the pressurized fluid source, the first hydraulic actuator, and a fluid return reservoir;
• and
• controlling, by a controller, operation of the electrohydraulic servo valve.
