Abstract
A detergent composition comprising (a) at least one salt of an alkanolamine and an alkyl ether carboxylic acid; (b) at least one surfactant; and (c) at least one solvent including at least one hydroxy functional group. The detergent composition may be particularly useful as liquid detergent compositions for use in household cleaning applications, for example for use in laundry. A method of laundering items using the detergent composition and the use of a salt of an alkanolamine and an alkyl ether carboxylic acid to improve the cleaning performance of a detergent composition comprising at least one enzyme are also disclosed.
Claims22
A detergent composition comprising:
- (a) at least one salt of an alkanolamine and an alkyl ether carboxylic acid;
- (b) at least one surfactant;
- and
- (c) at least one solvent including at least one hydroxy functional group.
A method of laundering items, the method comprising the steps of loading the items into a washing machine, adding a detergent composition into the washing machine, and running a wash cycle of the washing machine, wherein the detergent composition comprises:
- (a) at least one salt of an alkanolamine and an alkyl ether carboxylic acid;
- (b) at least one surfactant;
- and
- (c) at least one solvent including at least one hydroxy functional group.
Use of a detergent composition in toilet care, manual dishwashing, laundry, fabric care, kitchen care, carpet cleaning, air fresheners, vehicle care, polishing products, machine cleaning and maintenance, pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, oilfield chemical applications, marine applications, personal care or institutional/industrial cleaning;
- the detergent composition comprising:
- (a) at least one salt of an alkanolamine and an alkyl ether carboxylic acid;
- (b) at least one surfactant;
- and
- (c) at least one solvent including at least one hydroxy functional group.
Use of a salt of an alkanolamine and an alkyl ether carboxylic acid to improve the cleaning performance of a detergent composition comprising at least one enzyme.
