Flame retardant polypropylene composition

Abstract

A composition including: (A) 45-75% of at least one heterophasic propylene copolymer including a propylene-based matrix and a dispersed ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, wherein the propylene-based matrix consists of a propylene homopolymer and/or a propylene copolymer consisting of at least 90 wt % of propylene monomer units and at most 10 wt % of ethylene and/or α-olefin monomer units, based on the total weight of the propylene-based matrix, (B) 2-25 wt % of at least one ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having a density of at most 0.925 g/cm3; (C) 20-30 wt % of a flame retardant composition including at least one phosphate; and (D) 0.1-10 wt % of an aromatic phosphate ester.
