Abstract

The invention relates to a crop nutrition and fortification composition comprising effective amounts of elemental sulphur; one or more of magnesium salts derivatives or mixtures thereof; one or more of potassium fertilizers or their salts or derivatives or mixtures thereof; one or more of iron salts or derivatives or mixtures thereof; one or more of zinc salts or derivatives or mixtures thereof; and one or more excipients, wherein the composition comprises of particles in the size range of 0.1-50 microns and wherein elemental sulphur content is in the range of 5% to 90% by weight; elemental magnesium content is in the range of 0.1% to 40% by weight; elemental potassium content is in the range of 0.1% to 40% by weight; elemental iron content is in the range of 0.1% to 45% by weight; and elemental zinc content is in the range of 0.1% to 45% by the weight of the total composition. The invention also relates to a process of preparing the crop nutrition and fortification composition and to a method of treating plants, seeds, crops, plant propagation material, locus, parts thereof or soil with the crop nutrition and fortification composition.

Dependent claims

A crop nutrition and fortification composition comprising:

i. elemental sulphur;
wherein the elemental sulphur content is in the range of 5% to 90% by the weight of the total composition;
ii. one or more of water insoluble or water soluble magnesium salts or derivatives or mixtures thereof;
wherein the elemental magnesium content is in the range of 0.1% to 40% by the weight of the total composition;
iii. one or more of water insoluble or water soluble potassium fertilizers or salts or derivatives or mixtures thereof;
wherein the elemental potassium content is in the range 0.1% to 40% by the weight of the total composition;
iv. one or more of water insoluble or water soluble iron salts or derivatives or mixtures thereof;
wherein the elemental iron content is in the range of 0.1% to 45% by the weight of the total composition;
v. one or more of water insoluble or water soluble zinc salts or derivatives or mixtures thereof;
wherein the elemental zinc content is in the range of 0.1% to 45% by the weight of the total composition;
and,
vi. one or more excipients in the range of 0.1% to 60% by the weight of the total composition, wherein the composition comprises of particles in the size range of 0.1-50 microns and wherein the total content of the water soluble salts or derivatives or mixtures in the composition does not exceed 80% by the weight of the total composition.
