A method, comprising:
- controlling, by at least one computing device, operation of a first actuator assembly of a refuse collection vehicle, the first actuator assembly coupled to a first arm of an arm assembly of the refuse collection vehicle, the arm assembly configured to rotate pivotally along a pivot axis between a raised position and a lowered position;
- and
- controlling, by the at least one computing device, operation of a second actuator assembly of the refuse collection vehicle, the second actuator assembly coupled to a second arm of the arm assembly, wherein the first actuator assembly and the second actuator assembly are coaxially aligned along the pivot axis, and wherein controlling operation of the second actuator assembly comprises synchronizing operation of the second actuator assembly with operation of the first actuator assembly to move the first arm and the second arm of the arm assembly in tandem.
A system, comprising:
- a refuse collection vehicle comprising:
- a vehicle chassis;
- and
- a refuse body coupled to and supported on the vehicle chassis, the refuse body comprising:
- an arm assembly configured to rotate pivotally along a pivot axis between a raised position and a lowered position;
- and
- an arm actuator comprising a first actuator assembly coupled to a first arm of the arm assembly and a second actuator assembly coupled to a second arm of the arm assembly,
- wherein the first actuator assembly and the second actuator assembly are coaxially aligned along the pivot axis;
- and
- a controller communicatively coupled with the arm actuator, the controller configured to:
- control operation of the first actuator assembly;
- and
- control operation of the second actuator assembly, wherein controlling operation of the second actuator assembly comprises synchronizing operation of the second actuator assembly with operation of the first actuator assembly to move the first arm and the second arm of the arm assembly in tandem.
