Abstract
A steering apparatus for a vehicle includes a ball nut coupled to a rack bar by means of a ball and configured to linearly move the rack bar, a first nut pulley provided on an outer surface of the ball nut, a second nut pulley provided on an outer surface of the ball nut, a first motor pulley of a first motor connected to the first nut pulley through a first belt, a second motor pulley of a second motor connected to the second nut pulley through a second belt, an angle sensor assembly coupled to at least one of the first nut pulley or the second nut pulley and configured to detect a rotational angle of the ball nut, and an electronic control device configured to control the first and second motors in response to the rotational angle of the ball nut detected by the angle sensor assembly.

An apparatus comprising:
- a ball nut operably coupled to a rack bar and configured to linearly move the rack bar by rotation of the ball nut;
- a first nut pulley provided on an outer surface of the ball nut;
- a second nut pulley provided on an outer surface of the ball nut;
- a first motor pulley of a first motor operably connected to the first nut pulley through a first belt;
- a second motor pulley of a second motor operably connected to the second nut pulley through a second belt;
- an angle sensor assembly coupled to at least one of the first nut pulley or the second nut pulley and configured to detect a rotational angle of the ball nut;
- and
- a controller configured to control the first motor and the second motor in response to the rotational angle of the ball nut detected by the angle sensor assembly.
An apparatus comprising:
- a ball nut operably coupled to a rack bar and configured to linearly move the rack bar by rotation of the ball nut;
- a nut pulley provided on the ball nut;
- a motor pulley provided on a motor and operably connected to the nut pulley through a belt;
- an angle sensor assembly coupled to the nut pulley and configured to detect a rotational angle of the ball nut;
- and
- a controller configured to control the motor in response to the rotational angle of the ball nut detected by the angle sensor assembly.
An apparatus comprising:
- a ball nut operably coupled to a rack bar and configured to linearly move the rack bar by rotation of the ball nut;
- a nut pulley provided on the ball nut;
- a motor pulley provided on a motor and operably connected to the nut pulley through a belt;
- a nut connection member having gear teeth provided on an outer surface of the nut connection member, coupled to the ball nut, and configured to rotatable together with the ball nut;
- an angle sensor assembly coupled to the nut connection member and configured to detect a rotational angle of the ball nut;
- and
- a controller configured to control the motor in response to the rotational angle of the ball nut detected by the angle sensor assembly.
