High load capacity collapsible carts

A collapsible cart configured to transition from a closed condition where it is folded up to an open condition where it is expanded for use, the collapsible cart having a rigid frame forming a compartment and comprising:

• a front wall;
• a rear wall;
• a bottom wall;
• a right sidewall configured to fold inwardly into the compartment and comprising a first right panel rotatably coupled to a second right panel, with a first track formed along the first right panel and the second right panel and extending from a first position on the second right panel to a second position on the first right panel, wherein the first track is formed to securely engage a first slidable member such that the first slidable member can slide along the first track between an open position to a closed position to selectively lock the first right panel to the second right panel, such that the first slidable member is in the open position when adjacent the second position and not disposed along the second right panel, and such that the first slidable member is in the closed position when adjacent the first position and disposed across both the first right panel and second right panel;
• and
• a left sidewall configured to fold inwardly into the compartment and comprising a first left panel rotatably coupled to a second left panel, with a second track formed along the first left panel and the second left panel and extending from a first position on the first left panel to a second position on the second left panel, wherein the second track is formed to securely engage a second slidable member such that the second slidable member can slide along the second track between an open position to a closed position to selectively lock the first left panel to the second left panel, such that the second slidable member is in the open position when adjacent the second position and not disposed along the first left panel, and such that the second slidable member is in the closed position when adjacent the first position and disposed across both the first left panel and second left panel.

A collapsible cart configured to transition from a closed condition where it is folded up to an open condition where it is expanded for use, the collapsible cart comprising a rigid frame forming a compartment and comprising:

• a front wall;
• a rear wall;
• a bottom wall having a pivotable connection to another wall;
• a left sidewall configured to fold inwardly into the compartment;
• a right sidewall configured to fold inwardly into the compartment, and comprising a first right panel rotatably coupled to a second right panel;
• a first track formed along the first right panel and the second right panel extending from a first position on the second right panel to a second position on the first right panel, the first track formed to cooperatively engage a slidable member;
• and
• a first slidable member securely engaged with the first track such that the first slidable member can slide along the first track between an unlocked condition when adjacent the second position and not disposed along the second right panel, and a locked condition when adjacent the first position and disposed across both the first right panel and second right panel, so as to allow selective locking and unlocking of the first right panel to the second right panel.
