• make short cut buttons be displayed on a basic screen of the display device,
• make a plurality of candidates for functions to be assigned to the short cut buttons be displayed on a function selection screen of the display device and make a user select the functions to be assigned to the short cut buttons, a plurality of the functions displayed on the function selection screen being comprised of either compulsory setting type functions which are compulsorily set on or off when the power of the vehicle is turned on regardless of on/off settings of the functions when the power was turned off the previous time and setting hold type functions where the on/off settings of the functions when the power was turned off the previous time are held when the power of the vehicle is turned on, and
• make the compulsory setting type functions be preferentially displayed as the candidates of the functions on the function selection screen.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program used for controlling a screen display of a display device mounted in a vehicle, said program causing a computer to

• make short cut buttons be displayed on a basic screen of the display device,
• make a plurality of candidates for functions to be assigned to the short cut buttons be displayed on a function selection screen of the display device and make a user select the functions to be assigned to the short cut buttons, a plurality of the functions displayed on the function selection screen being comprised of either compulsory setting type functions which are compulsorily set on or off when a power of the vehicle is turned on regardless of on/off settings of the functions when the power was turned off the previous time and setting hold type functions where the on/off settings of the functions when the power was turned off the previous time are held when the power of the vehicle is turned on, and
• make the compulsory setting type functions be preferentially displayed as the candidates of the functions on the function selection screen.
