A drive assembly for a motor vehicle including an electric machine has a parking lock assembly and a liquid cooling system for cooling the electric machine. A drive assembly for a motor vehicle, comprising
- an electric machine,
- a parking lock assembly and
- a liquid cooling system for cooling the electric machine, wherein the liquid cooling system has a mechanical coolant pump and a switchable bypass valve wherein the bypass valve can be actuated via an actuator of the parking lock assembly.
