Window unit, mold and associated methods

A window unit comprising:

• a glazing panel;
• a frame profile provided on an at least a part of an edge of the glazing panel on an at least one peripheral side and comprising a rigid part designed to receive a decorative strip the rigid part having an elongated shape with a long side along the at least one peripheral side, and comprising an at least a one rigid connection means and an at least one flexible connection means wherein the at least one rigid connection means and the at least one flexible connection means have an elongated shape with a long side along the at least one peripheral side and are an integral part of the rigid part;
• and
• the decorative strip comprising an at least one first clamping part to be rotatably connected to the at least one rigid connection means and an at least one second clamping part to be clamped to the at least one flexible connection means wherein the at least one flexible connection means is totally offset from the at least one rigid connection means in a direction of the long side of the rigid part, by a distance greater than 0 mm (D>0 mm).
