Abstract
Systems and methods are provided for quick connect laser torch consumables and accessories. A laser welding torch may include a plurality of torch components, with at least two torch components being configured to engage one another when assembling the laser welding torch. One or more torch components of the plurality of torch components may incorporate one or more indexing features and/or connect features configured for enabling quick connect and alignment of at least the two torch components of the plurality of torch components during the assembling of the laser welding torch. The indexing features may include at least one of a key feature and a slot feature. The connect features may include a plurality of different connect positions.
Claims16
A welding-type system comprising:
- a laser welding torch comprising a plurality of torch components, wherein:
- the plurality of torch components are configured to engage one another when assembling the laser welding torch;
- and
- one or more torch components of the plurality of torch components comprise one or more indexing features configured for enabling quick alignment of at least two torch components of the plurality of torch components during the assembling of the laser welding torch.
A welding-type system comprising:
- a laser welding torch comprising a plurality of torch components,
- wherein:
- the plurality of torch components are configured to engage one another to assemble the laser welding torch;
- and
- one or more torch components of the plurality of torch components comprise one or more connect features configured for enabling quick connect of at least two torch components of the plurality of torch components during the assembling of the laser welding torch.
