Abstract
A method for side trimming, along a cutting, a moving steel strip including a heating step, in which the cutting line is heated to a temperature above Ac1, and a trimming step, in which the steel strip is mechanically cut along the cutting line at a temperature above Ac1.

- i. a heating step wherein the cutting line is heated to a temperature above Ac1, and
