A method for producing a compound, the method comprising using a hydraulic wash column,

• the hydraulic wash column including therein at least one circulating liquid feed unit including circulating liquid ejection holes for ejecting a crystal grain melt-containing circulating liquid into the hydraulic wash column,
• the circulating liquid feed unit including:
• a circulating liquid ejection part including the circulating liquid ejection holes in a number of M or more, M being calculated according to the following requirement;
• and
• a circulating liquid feed area for feeding a circulating liquid from outside the hydraulic wash column into the circulating liquid ejection part,
• the circulating liquid being ejected from the circulating liquid ejection part into the hydraulic wash column through the circulating liquid ejection holes in a plurality of different substantially horizontal directions at a circulating liquid ejection velocity of 2 m/s or higher, with an amount of the liquid ejected from one circulating liquid ejection hole being 10 kg/h or more.

• M is a value obtained by dividing 360 by either of the following values and rounded down to the nearest whole number:
• 1) an expansion angle (°) of water ejected in water from a single liquid ejection hole equivalent to any of the liquid ejection holes at the same or almost the same velocity;

• 2) an expansion angle (°) of liquid ejected from a single liquid ejection hole equivalent to any of the liquid ejection holes at the same or almost the same velocity as determined by flow analysis (numerical calculation), the liquid having the same or almost the same physical properties as the aforementioned liquid.

• feeding a crystal grain melt-containing liquid into a vessel;
• and
• discharging a crystal grain-containing slurry from the vessel,
• the vessel including therein at least one liquid feed unit including liquid ejection holes for ejecting the melt-containing liquid into the vessel,
• the liquid feed unit including:
• a liquid ejection part including the liquid ejection holes in a number of M or more, M being calculated according to the following requirement;
• and
• a liquid feed area for feeding the liquid from outside the vessel into the liquid ejection part,
• the liquid being ejected from the liquid ejection part into the vessel through the liquid ejection holes in a plurality of different substantially horizontal directions at a liquid ejection velocity of 0.3 m/s or higher,
• the requirement being as follows:

• M is a value obtained by dividing 360 by either of the following values and rounded down to the nearest whole number:
• 1) an expansion angle (°) of water ejected in water from a single liquid ejection hole equivalent to any of the liquid ejection holes at the same or almost the same velocity;
• and
• 2) an expansion angle (°) of liquid ejected from a single liquid ejection hole equivalent to any of the liquid ejection holes at the same or almost the same velocity as determined by flow analysis (numerical calculation), the liquid having the same or almost the same physical properties as the aforementioned liquid.

A method for producing a compound, the method comprising using a hydraulic wash column,

• the hydraulic wash column including therein at least one circulating liquid feed unit including circulating liquid ejection holes for ejecting a crystal grain melt-containing circulating liquid into the hydraulic wash column,
• the circulating liquid feed unit including:
• a circulating liquid ejection part including the circulating liquid ejection holes in a number of M or more, M being calculated according to the following requirement;
• and
• a circulating liquid feed area for feeding a circulating liquid from outside the hydraulic wash column into the circulating liquid ejection part,
• the circulating liquid being ejected from the circulating liquid ejection part into the hydraulic wash column through the circulating liquid ejection holes in a plurality of different substantially horizontal directions at a circulating liquid ejection velocity of 0.3 m/s or higher, with an amount of the liquid ejected from one circulating liquid ejection hole being 1.5 kg/h or more,
• the requirement being as follows:

• M is a value obtained by dividing 360 by either of the following values and rounded down to the nearest whole number:
• 1) an expansion angle (°) of water ejected in water from a single liquid ejection hole equivalent to any of the liquid ejection holes at the same or almost the same velocity;
• and
• 2) an expansion angle (°) of liquid ejected from a single liquid ejection hole equivalent to any of the liquid ejection holes at the same or almost the same velocity as determined by flow analysis (numerical calculation), the liquid having the same or almost the same physical properties as the aforementioned liquid.
