Abstract
Disclosed is a grip that includes a material having a wrist end, a finger end, and sides that extend from the wrist end to the finger end. The wrist end of the material has a concave shape that (i) is between the sides of the protective material and (ii) defines at least two legs on opposite sides of an apex of the concave shape. A thumb guard is defined on a first side of the sides of the material. A wrist strap is attached to a leg of the wrist end.

A grip, comprising:
- a material having a wrist end, a finger end, and sides that extend from the wrist end to the finger end, wherein:
- the wrist end of the material has a concave shape that (i) is between the sides of the protective material and (ii) defines at least two legs on opposite sides of an apex of the concave shape;
- and
- a wrist strap attached to a leg of the wrist end.

- forming a material having a wrist end, a finger end, and sides that extend from the wrist end to the finger end, wherein:
- the wrist end of the material is formed to have a concave shape that (i) is between the sides of the protective material and (ii) defines at least two legs on opposite sides of an apex of the concave shape;
- and
- attaching a wrist strap to a leg of the wrist end.

- a palm protection area configured to cover at least a portion of a palm of a hand wearing the hand covering, wherein:
- the palm protection area has a non-woven composite material that is exposed on a first face of the palm protection area and a synthetic rubber material that is exposed on a second opposite face of the palm protection area;

- the palm protection area has different widths at different locations along an axis that extends between a wrist end of the palm protection area and a finger end of the palm protection area;

- a wrist securing member at the wrist end of the palm protection area.
