Cream hair cleaning composition

Abstract

The present disclosure is directed to a hair cleaning composition the includes a plurality of solvents that include water and at least one volatile solvent, at least one oil-absorbent material, and at least one rheology modifier. The hair cleaning composition does not include an emollient. The hair cleaning composition is configured as a cream that is convertible to a powder upon application of mechanical force. The present disclosure is also directed to a method of cleaning hair, including the steps of dispensing an amount of the cream hair cleaning composition, mechanically activating the cream hair cleaning composition with hands or fingers to convert the cream to a powder; distributing the powder one or both of through the hair and along the scalp of the user; and removing excess powder present from the hair or scalp.
