Abstract
Expandable stent anchors that are adapted and configured to be recollapsed after expansion if needed. The stent anchors may include one or more ramped regions that facilitate recollapse of the stent anchors after expansion.
Claims20
A self-expandable stent anchor adapted to be recollapsed and recaptured after expansion, comprising:
- a proximal region comprising a ramped region comprising, in a side view, a ramped configuration,
- wherein the proximal region comprises a proximal end of the stent,
- wherein the proximal region comprises a coupler that is sized and configured to be releasably coupled to a delivery system for delivery of the stent, and
- wherein the ramped region extends distally and radially relative to the coupler.

A method of positioning a recollapsible stent anchor, comprising:
- delivering a recollapsible stent anchor in a collapsed configuration within a delivery device, wherein the stent anchor comprises a coupler that is releasably coupled to a delivery system coupler;
- and
- deploying the stent anchor from the delivery device to allow the stent anchor to self-expand to an expanded configuration in which the stent anchor comprises a proximal region that has a ramped region with a ramped configuration, wherein the proximal region comprises the coupler, and wherein the ramped region extends distally and radially relative to the coupler.
