A transfemoral system for the localized treatment of aortic valve stenosis comprising:
- a working catheter and at least one tool configured to slidably move through the working catheter;
- wherein said tool is an expandable stent with a distally decreasing cross-section configured to allow an opening of an aortic native valve, the stent furthermore comprising an ultrasonic transducer.
