Tightening mechanism

A wearable device comprising:

• a) a tourniquet comprising:
• i) a base;
• ii) a tightening mechanism connected to the base, the tightening mechanism comprising:
• A) a spool being configured to accept a first portion of a lace;
• B) a knob being configured for manually winding the first portion of the lace onto the spool;
• and
• C) an anchor point being configured to anchor a second portion of the lace;
• iii) a tunnel strap;
• and iv) a tunnel sled connected to a first end of the tunnel strap, the tunnel sled comprising:
• A) a first lace guide being configured to guide the lace from the anchor point directly to the spool;
• and
• B) a second lace guide being configured to guide the lace from the anchor point directly to the spool;
• and b) a wearable item quick release connector connected to the tourniquet and being configured to removably connect to a wearable item.

A tourniquet comprising:

• a) a base;
• b) a tightening mechanism connected to the base, the tightening mechanism comprising:
• i) a spool being configured to accept a first portion of a lace;
• ii) a knob being configured for manually winding the first portion of the lace onto the spool;
• and iii) an anchor point being configured to anchor a second portion of the lace;
• c) a tunnel strap;
• and d) a tunnel sled connected to a first end of the tunnel strap, the tunnel sled comprising:
• i) a first lace guide being configured to guide the lace from the anchor point directly to the spool;
• and ii) a second lace guide being configured to guide the lace from the anchor point directly to the spool.
