Abstract

Field-adaptable, functionalized textiles for body area networks in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. In one embodiment, a textile body area network is provided, the textile body area network comprising: a wireless reader; a first smart textile configured to perform cross-body measurements, the first smart textile comprising: a first array of magnetically coupled resonators configured to propagate magnetoinductive (MI) surface waves; and at least one first sensor configured to connect to the first array of magnetically coupled resonators, wherein the at least one first sensor generates an output signal based on a physical measurement.
