Abstract

An adjustable bra is configured to accommodate various breast sizes, cup spacing, and torso circumference. The bra includes a first cup panel and a second cup panel, each having reinforced slots and a corresponding button positioned at the center-front region, allowing the user to selectively couple the cup panels at different spacings to modify cup size and inter-cup distance. The bra includes a band positioned beneath the cup panels with a front-located adjustable feature, such as a hook-and-eye assembly, that permits incremental tightening or loosening of the band. A gap between the cup panels and the band enables the cups to move and adjust independently of band tension. Adjustable straps extend from the cup panels to a back portion of the bra and may be configured in multiple strap arrangements to suit wearer preference. The bra may improve fit, comfort, and adaptability compared to conventional front-closure and rear-only adjustable designs.

Dependent claims

A bra comprising:

a first cup panel and a second cup panel, the first and second cup panel each configured to support a breast;
a first button coupling the first cup panel to the second cup panel and a second button coupling the second cup panel to the first cup panel;
the first cup panel and the second cup panel including a plurality of slots for receiving the first button and second button;
and
a band positioned below the first cup panel and the second cup panel, the band including an adjustable feature that provides for shortening or lengthening a length of the band;
and
a first strap having a first end coupled to an upper end of the first cup panel and a second end coupled to a back portion of the bra, the first strap being adjustable in length;
a second strap having a first end coupled to an upper end of the second cup panel and a second end coupled to a back portion of the bra, the second strap being adjustable in length;
wherein positioning the button in different slots of the plurality of slots of the first cup panel and the second cup panel adjusts a spaced relation of the first cup panel relative to the second cup panel.
