Collapsible net

A fishing net comprising:

• a head including a frame and a fish receiver supported by the frame, the frame including a yoke,
• a retainer carried by the head and moveable with respect to the head between a first configuration and a second configuration;
• and
• a handle having a proximal end, a distal end, and a length extending between the proximal and distal ends, the handle having a longitudinal axis, the handle being moveably connected to the head, the handle being moveable axially with respect to the head between a stowed position where a distal end portion of the handle is spaced distally from the yoke and an operational position where the distal end portion of the handle is closer to the yoke than in the stowed position, the retainer being engageable with the handle in the first configuration to retain the handle in the operational position.
