A power amplifier circuit comprising:
- a differential power amplifier having a differential output;
- and
- a balun transformer circuit connected to the differential output and having a primary coil connected at an input side of the balun transformer circuit to each branch of the differential output of the differential power amplifier via a corresponding conductor element of a plurality of conductor elements, a secondary coil coupled to the primary coil and connected at an output side of the balun transformer circuit, and at least one capacitor forming part of a differential T-network impedance transformer element.
A power amplifier circuit comprising:
- a differential power amplifier having a differential output;
- and
- a balun transformer circuit connected to the differential output and having a primary coil connected at an input side of the balun transformer circuit to the differential output of the differential power amplifier, a secondary coil coupled to the primary coil and connected at an output side of the balun transformer circuit, and at least one capacitor arranged with respect to the differential output of the differential power amplifier to compensate at least partially for a leakage inductance of the balun transformer circuit.
A power amplifier circuit comprising:
- a differential power amplifier having a differential output;
- and
- a balun transformer circuit connected to the differential output and having a primary coil connected at an input side of the balun transformer circuit to the differential output of the differential power amplifier, a secondary coil coupled to the primary coil and connected at an output side of the balun transformer circuit, and a bridge capacitor between two serially connected primary coil portions of the primary coil of the balun transformer circuit.
