Rotating electrical machine drive device and moving body drive device

A moving body drive device comprising:

• a rotating electrical machine of a wound field type mounted on a moving body;
• and
• a rotating electrical machine drive device that controls the rotating electrical machine, the rotating electrical machine drive device including:
• an inverter circuit that supplies plural-phase AC power to a stator coil wound around a stator core of the rotating electrical machine;
• a full bridge circuit that supplies electric power to a rotor coil wound around a rotor core of the rotating electrical machine;
• and
• a processing device that controls the inverter circuit and the full bridge circuit,
• wherein, in a stopped state of the moving body, the processing device supplies plural-phase AC power to the stator coil and simultaneously supplies to the rotor coil AC power that reduces or eliminates a reluctance torque generated in the rotor core due to the plural-phase AC power.
