Abstract
A thermal barrier component (10) for a battery assembly (50) includes a stack (11) of layers, the stack (11) comprising a core layer (12) and at least one thermal insulation layer (14) arranged on at least one side of the core layer (12), the core layer (12) including an inlet (18) comprising a rigid material, preferably a rigid foam material or an aluminium honeycomb structure, and a frame element (20) circumferentially surrounding the inlet (18).

Thermal barrier component for a battery assembly, the thermal barrier component including a stack of layers, the stack comprising a core layer and at least one thermal insulation layer and/or an erosion barrier layer arranged on at least one side of the core layer, the core layer including an inlet comprising a rigid material, preferably a rigid foam material, and a frame element circumferentially surrounding the inlet.
