Abstract
The present disclosure generally relates to materials, processes, generators, and/or systems, for generating radioisotope. The present disclosure also generally relates to ceramic materials comprising radioisotope suitable for use in a radioisotope generator. The present disclosure also generally relates to processes, generators and/or systems, for producing and capturing radioisotope. The present disclosure also generally relates to the preparation of radioisotope solutions for use in radiopharmacy and/or other clinical applications.
Claims13
A generator for producing 212Pb comprising:
- a porous zirconium oxide substrate comprising a parent radioisotope surface layer, and a chamber comprising a collection surface, wherein the chamber is configured to house the porous zirconium oxide substrate in the chamber such that the parent radioisotope surface layer is in gaseous communication with the collection surface;
- wherein the parent radioisotope surface layer is configured to emanate, into the chamber, gaseous 220Rn produced by radioactive decay of the parent radioisotope;
- and
- wherein the 212Pb produced by the radioactive decay of the gaseous 220Rn in the chamber collects on the collection surface.
