Abstract
A pool vision system may include a camera and a controller. A method of controlling equipment of a swimming pool or spa using the pool vision system may include receiving visual data from the camera having a field of view including the equipment and identify the equipment in the visual data and determining an operational state of the equipment based on the visual data. The method incudes comparing the determined operational state of the equipment with an expected operational state of the equipment and generating a control response based on a difference between the determined operational state of the equipment and the expected operational state of the equipment.
Claims15
A pool system comprising:
- at least one piece of pool equipment for a swimming pool or spa;
- and
- a pool vision system comprising at least one camera,
- wherein the at least one camera is integrated with the at least one piece of pool equipment,
- and
- wherein the at least one piece of pool equipment comprises a pool light, a skimmer, a docking station, a pump, or a heater.
A pool system comprising:
- at least one piece of pool equipment for a swimming pool or spa;
- a pool vision system comprising at least one camera comprising a field of view of at least a portion of a location comprising the swimming pool or spa;
- and
- a controller communicatively coupled with the camera, wherein the controller is configured to:
- receive visual data from the camera;
- identify pool occupants in the swimming pool or spa based on the received visual data;
- and
- control a water quality of the swimming pool or spa based on the identified pool occupants by controlling the at least one piece of equipment.
A pool system comprising:
- at least one piece of pool equipment for a swimming pool or spa, wherein the at least one piece of pool equipment comprises at least one of a fire feature or a water feature;
- a pool vision system comprising at least one camera comprising a field of view of at least a portion of a location comprising the swimming pool or spa with the at least one piece of pool equipment;
- and
- a controller communicatively coupled with the camera, wherein the controller is configured to:
- receive visual data from the camera;
- identify a characteristic of the at least one piece of equipment;
- and
- generate a control response based on the visual data and a comparison of the identified characteristic to an expected characteristic, wherein the control response comprises at least one of controlling the at least one piece of equipment or generating a notification of a user.
