Defense driving evaluation apparatus and defense driving evaluation system

A defense driving evaluation system, comprising:

• an in-vehicle device mounted on each of a plurality of vehicles and configured to perform recognizing a surrounding situation of each of the plurality of vehicles, acquiring driving action information relating to a driving action of a driver of each of the plurality of vehicles based on a behavior of each of the plurality of vehicles detected by a sensor and the surrounding situation of each of the plurality of vehicles, and communicating with a server device;
• and
• the server device configured to perform communicating with the in-vehicle device mounted on each of the plurality of vehicles, determining whether the driving action of the driver of each or the plurality of vehicles corresponds to a defense driving using the driving action information from each of the plurality of vehicles, classifying the defense driving according to the behavior of each of the plurality of vehicles and the surrounding situation of each of the plurality of vehicles when it is determined that the driving action corresponds to the defense driving, and providing a benefit to the driver of each of the plurality of vehicles based on a classification result.
