Reducing participants in data privacy integration protocols

A system comprising:

• one or more computers;
• and
• a computer-readable medium coupled to the one or more computers having instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the one or more computers, cause the one or more computers to perform operations comprising:
• receiving, at a data privacy integration service that manages data privacy integration for a multiple-application landscape, a first request to start a data privacy integration protocol for a first object instance;
• sending, by the data privacy integration service, at least one second request to at least one other service, for information regarding which applications of the multiple-application landscape have received a copy of the first object instance;
• receiving, by the data privacy integration service and from the at least one other service, the information indicating a subset of applications of the multiple-application landscape that have received a copy of the first object instance;
• creating a work package for the first object instance and the data privacy integration protocol;
• sending the work package for the first object instance to applications in the subset of applications and not sending the work package to landscape applications not in the subset of applications;
• receiving work package responses from applications in the subset of applications;
• determining a data privacy integration protocol result based on the work package responses;
• and
• sending, in response to the first request to start the data privacy integration protocol, the data privacy integration protocol result.

A computer program product encoded on a non-transitory storage medium, the product comprising non-transitory, computer readable instructions for causing one or more processors to perform operations comprising:

• receiving, at a data privacy integration service that manages data privacy integration for a multiple-application landscape, a first request to start a data privacy integration protocol for a first object instance;
• sending, by the data privacy integration service, at least one second request to at least one other service, for information regarding which applications of the multiple-application landscape have received a copy of the first object instance;
• receiving, by the data privacy integration service and from the at least one other service, the information indicating a subset of applications of the multiple-application landscape that have received a copy of the first object instance;
• creating a work package for the first object instance and the data privacy integration protocol;
• sending the work package for the first object instance to applications in the subset of applications and not sending the work package to landscape applications not in the subset of applications;
• receiving work package responses from applications in the subset of applications;
• determining a data privacy integration protocol result based on the work package responses;
• and
• sending, in response to the first request to start the data privacy integration protocol, the data privacy integration protocol result.
