Abstract
A display device is disclosed. The display device of the present disclosure may include: a display panel; a frame located behind the display panel; a substrate located between the display panel and the frame and coupled to the frame; a light source mounted to the substrate and providing light to the display panel; a fastening member passing through the substrate, coupled to the frame, and pressing the substrate toward the frame; and a pad located between the substrate and the frame, contacting with the rear surface of the substrate and the front surface of the frame, and through which the fastening member passes.
Claims15
A display apparatus comprising:
- a panel;
- a metallic frame behind the panel;
- a substrate between the panel and the frame and carrying light sources;
- a fastener having a body passing through the substrate and a head bearing against a front surface of the substrate while the body is fixed to the frame;
- and
- a conductive, elastically compressible pad disposed between a rear surface of the substrate and a front surface of the frame and penetrated by the body, the pad establishing electrical grounding between the substrate and the frame and maintaining contact under thermal lift of the substrate,
- wherein a diameter of the head is greater than an inner diameter of the pad and less than an outer diameter of the pad, and the substrate includes a conductive ring surrounding the body and contacting the pad to form a conductive path to the frame.
A method of assembling and operating a display apparatus, the method comprising:
- placing a conductive, elastically compressible pad between a substrate and a metallic frame;
- passing a body of the fastener through the substrate and the pad and fixing the body to the frame while a head of the fastener bears against the substrate;
- electrically coupling the substrate to the frame via the pad and a conductive ring on the substrate;
- and
- maintaining electrical contact under thermal lift of the substrate by elastic deformation of a portion of the pad outside an area overlapped by the head.
