Scale system

A scale system for measuring a powder quantity, the scale system comprising:

• a base housing for stationary placement;
• a weighing surface movable relative to the base housing;
• a weighing sensor that measures a mass of a powder container on the weighing surface;
• an evaluation device configured to evaluate sensor data from the weighing sensor and to generate output data;
• and
• a display device configured to output the output data;
• wherein:
• the evaluation device is configured to determine during a stepwise removal of a partial mass from the weighing surface the partial mass already removed by comparing the mass currently measured by the weighing sensor with a previously recorded reference mass prior to the removal, and
• the evaluation device is configured to generate output data on a basis of the partial mass already removed and to display said output data on the display device, said output data reflecting the partial mass removed since the recordation of the reference mass and said output data comprise a growing output value representing the removed partial mass.
