Washing machine, and filter device for washing machine

A filter device for a washing machine, the filter device comprising:

• a first chamber comprising a water inlet allowing wash water to be introduced therethrough;
• a second chamber having a water outlet for the wash water;
• a filter accommodated in the second chamber;
• and
• a plurality of openings allowing the first chamber and the second chamber to communicate with each other therethrough,
• wherein the water inlet is disposed at a position offset to a first side in the first chamber,
• wherein the water outlet is disposed at a position offset to the first side in the second chamber, and
• wherein the wash water introduced through the water inlet sequentially passes through the first chamber, the openings, and the filter, and is discharged through the water outlet.

A filter device for a washing machine, the filter device comprising:

• a case having a water inlet and a water outlet;
• a partition wall arranged inside the case and dividing an interior of the case into a first chamber and a second chamber;
• a plurality of openings formed in the partition wall and allowing the first chamber and the second chamber to communicate with each other therethrough;
• and
• a filter accommodated in the second chamber of the case,
• wherein the water inlet is disposed at a position offset to a first side in the first chamber,
• wherein the water outlet is disposed at a position offset to the first side in the second chamber, and
• wherein the wash water introduced through the water inlet sequentially passes through the first chamber, the openings, and the filter, and is discharged through the water outlet.
