Abstract

A metal member (1) has: a substrate (2) composed of a metal; a transparent layer (3) provided on the substrate (2) and being composed of a material that transmits visible light; and a reflective layer (4) provided on the transparent layer (3). The mean value of the spectral transmittance of the reflective layer, in the wavelength range of 400 nm or longer and 700 nm or shorter, is 2% or more and 80% or less. In addition, the reflective layer (4) is constituted such that a portion of the visible light that is incident on the reflective layer (4) is reflectable. The metal member (1) can be obtained by performing an anodizing treatment on the substrate (2) in a weakly acidic or weakly basic electrolytic solution to form the transparent layer (3), and then performing a sputtering treatment to form the reflective layer (4) on the transparent layer (3).
