Abstract
A microcapsule for controlled release of at least one active agent, wherein the microcapsule includes a core and a polymeric shell, wherein the polymeric shell includes a nanocomposite of a (co)polymer of at least one (met)acrylic ester monomer and a nanoclay, preferably an organically modified nanoclay. The core includes the at least one active agent and a first carrier. A method of preparation of the microcapsules and the use thereof are also related. A method to prevent the corrosion in crude oil refineries is also related.
Claims14
A microcapsule for controlled release of at least one active agent, wherein said microcapsule comprises a core and a polymeric shell, wherein the polymeric shell comprises a nanocomposite of a (co)polymer of at least one (met)acrylic ester monomer and a nanoclay, preferably an organically modified nanoclay, and the core comprises the at least one active agent and a first carrier, wherein said first carrier is a liquid medium suitable to carry the active substance.
