Abstract
A method for producing ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin pellets, the method including; forming ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin intermediate pellets; wherein the intermediate pellets have a volatile content of from 5 to 90 mass % between pelletizing and drying; and wherein the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin intermediate pellets have an aliphatic alcohol having 1 to 10 carbons content of from 0.005 to 15 mass % before drying to provide a method for producing ethylene-vinyl alcohol resin pellets having excellent thermal stability.
Claims11
A method for producing ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin pellets, the method comprising:
- pelletizing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin to form ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin intermediate pellets;
- drying the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin intermediate pellets to form ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin pellets;
- wherein the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin intermediate pellets have a volatile content of from 5 to 90 mass % when subjected to drying;
- and
- wherein a content of an aliphatic alcohol having 1 to 10 carbons in the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin intermediate pellets is from 0.005 to 15 mass % when subjected to drying.
A method for producing ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin pellets, the method comprising:
- pelletizing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin to form ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin intermediate pellets;
- drying the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin intermediate pellets as a first drying;
- further drying the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin intermediate pellets to form ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin pellets as a second drying;
- and
- wherein a content of an aliphatic alcohol having 1 to 10 carbons in the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer resin intermediate pellets is from 0.005 to 15 mass % when subjected to the first drying.
