A process for producing triphenylphosphine (compound of formula (I))
- wherein triphenylphosphine oxide (the compound of formula (II))
- is reacted with at least one siloxane and/or at least one silane
- in the presence of at least one catalyst of formula (III)
- wherein
- A is a moiety of formula
- wherein any dotted line represents the bond by which the substituent of formula A is bound to the boron atom,
- and
- Y is a counterion with a positive charge, which neutralizes the charge of the complex in the bracket.
