Abstract
A multi-tier egg pan assembly includes a pan body having egg-receiving recesses in a bottom wall and openings in a peripheral sidewall. An insert shelf defining a second tier includes egg-receiving recesses and foldable flaps that extend through the sidewall openings and fold downward and/or tuck to support the insert shelf above the bottom wall. In some embodiments, an adhesive region on a flap secures to the pan body, and stabilizer pieces inserted through shelf slots engage the bottom wall to resist rocking. The assembly may be formed from food-safe sheet material such as aluminum and may be disposed of after use. A lid may cover the pan body for transport.
