Abstract
An apparatus for conveying and joining label tapes includes a feed device for a first label tape, a withdrawal device for a second label tape, a joining device for joining a first label end of the first label tape to a second label end of the second label tape, and a detection device for detecting a relative arrangement between the first label end and the second label end. The apparatus is configured to use the detected relative arrangement to control the joining device for joining said labels and/or to send a message to an operator that is based on the relative arrangement.
Claims15
An apparatus for conveying and joining label tapes, the apparatus comprising:
- a feed device for a first label tape;
- a withdrawal device for a second label tape;
- a joining device for joining a first label end of the first label tape to a second label end of the second label tape;
- and
- a detection device for detecting a relative arrangement between the first label end and the second label end;
- wherein the apparatus is configured to use the detected relative arrangement to control the joining device for joining said labels and/or to send a message to an operator that is based on the relative arrangement.
A method for conveying and joining label tapes by means of an apparatus for conveying and joining label tapes, the apparatus including a feed device for a first label tape, a withdrawal device for a second label tape, a joining device for joining a first label end of the first label tape to a second label end of the second label tape, and a detection device for detecting a relative arrangement between the first label end and the second label end, the method comprising:
- using the relative arrangement detected as a basis for controlling the joining device for joining said labels and/or outputting a message that is based on the relative arrangement.
