Abstract
An aerogel composite may include a substrate and an aerogel, where a ratio of a carbon content in a surface of the aerogel composite to a total carbon content of the aerogel composite is from 2 to 3. The aerogel composite, when used in a high-temperature environment, may generate a low amount of a volatile organic compound (VOC), so that the generation of a bad odor is suppressed, and the hydrophobicity is high.
Claims7
An aerogel composite comprising:
- a substrate;
- and an aerogel including a plurality of open pores;
- wherein the aerogel composite comprises silicon in an amount from 20 wt % to 50 wt %, the aerogel composite comprises oxygen in an amount from 40 wt % to 75 wt %, and the aerogel composite comprises carbon in an amount from 1 wt % to 20 wt %, based on the total sum of the carbon, silicon, and oxygen in the aerogel composite being 100 wt %,
- wherein the surface of the aerogel composite comprises silicon in an amount from 30 wt % to 50 wt %, the surface of the aerogel composite comprises oxygen in an amount from 40 wt % to 60 wt %, and the surface of the aerogel composite comprises carbon in an amount from 10 wt % to 14.63 wt %, based on a total sum of carbon, silicon, and oxygen in the surface of the aerogel composite being 100 wt %.
