Abstract
A therapeutic device for improving hand function and flexion is provided. The therapeutic device includes a plurality of nested tubular devices. Each of the plurality of nested tubular devices has at least an outer surface with an indicium thereon, an outer diameter, and an inner diameter. The plurality of nested devices are successively smaller allowing for nesting and also greater range of motion in flexion while gripping. In use one of the plurality of nested tubular devices can be provided to a user and the user may grip or squeeze the device thereby providing composite flexion of the gripping hand. The user may progress to gripping successively smaller ones of the nested tubular devices until full flexion is achieved.
Claims7
A hand therapeutic device, comprising:
- a first tubular body comprising at least a first outer surface, a first outer diameter, and a first inner diameter;
- and
- a second tubular body comprising at least a second outer surface, a second outer diameter, and a second inner diameter;
- wherein the second outer diameter is smaller than the first inner diameter, such that the second tubular body can be nested within the first tubular body.
