Abstract
A device for cancer therapy includes multiple magnets. One of the magnets oscillates on a first axis, and one of the magnets oscillates on a second axis that is orthogonal to the first axis. The device also includes a controller for multiple that each oscillate one of the magnets, configured to periodically increase the oscillating frequency to a maximum of 100-350 Hz within 250 to 500 milliseconds, then rapidly decrease the oscillating frequency.
Claims19
A device for cancer therapy, comprising:
- a plurality of magnets, wherein one of the magnets oscillates on a first axis and one of the magnets oscillates on a second axis that is orthogonal to the first axis,
- a controller for a plurality of motors that each oscillate one of the magnets, configured to periodically increase the oscillating frequency to a maximum of 100-350 Hz within 250 to milliseconds, then rapidly decrease the oscillating frequency.
A method for disrupting mitochondrial function or inducing apoptosis or cell death in cancer cells in a tissue, the method comprising:
- oscillating a plurality of magnetic fields wherein the oscillating frequency reaches a maximum of 100-350 Hz within 250 to 500 milliseconds, then rapidly decreases, wherein one of the magnetic fields oscillates on a first axis and one of the magnetic fields oscillates on a second axis orthogonal to the first axis, and wherein the one or more magnetic fields are in proximity to the tissue such that oscillating magnetic fields are generated within the tissue.
