Abstract
The present invention relates to an electrode comprising an electrode base material, a carbon material, and an anchoring layer, wherein the anchoring layer is located between the electrode base material and the carbon material and comprises an anchoring structure having a chain of at least eight consecutive covalently bonded atoms.

A method for preparing an electrode, which comprises the following steps:
- a) contacting an electrode base material with an anchoring composition which comprises an anchoring compound having a chain of at least eight consecutive covalently bonded atoms, and
- b) contacting the electrode base material obtained from step a) with a carbon material.
