Abstract

A multi-layered dressing device is provided to be placed on a wound. The multi-layered dressing device comprises a dressing layer to be placed on the wound while extended slightly beyond the perimeter of the wound, at least one sensor in the dressing layer for transmitting electronic signals from a vicinity of the wound; at least two electrodes in the dressing layer one of which is positioned externally to the perimeter of the wound, wherein the electrodes are capable of transmitting stimulating signals to the wound, and a PCB layer for activating the sensors and the electrodes. The PCB layer accommodates a computing device configured to receive the electronic signals and control the stimulating signals. A method of tracking and enhancing the condition of the wound through the dressing device is also provided.
