Abstract
Dental compositions containing an inorganic-imprinted polymer (IIP), with high affinity of the formula components, allowing a higher conversion rate and consequently giving the cement greater biocompatibility, ensuring mechanical properties, and allowing versatile use within dentistry.
Claims16
A dental composition comprising a micronized and densified inorganic-imprinted polymer (IIP), wherein the polymer is derived from a solid mixture of functional monomers and is imprinted with inorganic particles.
A method for inducing tissue regeneration, the method comprising placing a dental composition into the tissue to be regenerated, wherein the dental composition comprises a micronized and densified inorganic-imprinted polymer (IIP), wherein the polymer is derived from a solid mixture of functional monomers and is imprinted with inorganic particles, such that inorganic ions are released from the placed dental composition and induce mineral deposition and mineralized tissue formation, thereby inducing the tissue regeneration.
