Abstract
In order to implement a communication system capable of quickly securing reliability in multicast, the communication system includes: a base station conforming to New Radio Access Technology; and a communication terminal (UE) capable of performing multicast communication with the base station. While executing the multicast communication, the communication terminal transmits reception status information to the base station in communication with the communication terminal, the reception status information being information related to a data reception status, and the base station performs control of retransmission of data to the communication terminal on the basis of the reception status information.

A user equipment configured to:
- transmit a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) status report to a base station for multicast;
- and
- notify the base station of first information related to the multicast reception status using the PDCP status report.
A communication system comprising:
- a user equipment is configured to transmit a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) status report to a base station for multicast;
- the user equipment is configured to notify the base station of first information related to the multicast reception status using the PDCP status report.
A base station configured to:
- be notified of a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) status report for multicast;
- and
- be notified of first information related to the multicast reception status using the PDCP status report;
- and
- based on the first information notify the user equipment of second information related to a Point-to-Multipoint (PTM) / Point-to-Point (PTP) switching using Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling.
