Repeater node for dual-polarized beamforming

A method for using a repeater node for dual-polarized beamforming towards user equipment,

• wherein the repeater node comprises a first antenna array for communication with a transmission and reception point of a network node, and a second antenna array for communication with the user equipment.
• wherein the first antenna array comprises antenna elements of a first polarization and antenna elements of a second polarization, and the second antenna array comprises antenna elements of a third polarization and antenna elements of a fourth polarization.
• wherein the antenna elements of the first antenna array are connectible to the antenna elements of the second antenna array via circuitry, and
• wherein the antenna elements of each of the first polarization and the second polarization in the first antenna array are, via the circuitry, connectable to antenna elements of both the third polarization and the fourth polarization in the second antenna array.
• wherein the method comprises:
• receiving a signal in the first antenna array from the transmission and reception point;
• forwarding the signal from the first antenna array to the second antenna array via the circuitry;
• and
• transmitting the signal from the second antenna array towards the user equipment.
