Abstract
A method and system for detecting bioelectrical signals and audio signals from a user, including establishing bioelectrical contact between a user and one or more sensors of a biomonitoring neuroheadset; collecting, at the one or more sensors, one or more bioelectrical signal datasets; collecting one or more reference signal datasets; collecting, at a microphone of the biomonitoring neuroheadset, an audio signal dataset; and generating a combined audio and bioelectrical signal processed dataset, including producing a noise-reduced bioelectrical signal dataset, and producing a conditioned audio signal dataset.
Claims10
A system, comprising:
- a left earpiece and a right earpiece, each earpiece comprising:
- an earbud mounted to an electronics housing, the earbud comprising a speaker and an electroencephalogram (EEG) sensor configured to be positioned proximal to an ear canal of an ear of a user;
- a support hook mounted to the electronics housing, wherein a common mode sensor and a driven right leg electrode each protrude from a primary curvature of the support hook;
- a microphone mounted to at least one of the left earpiece or the right earpiece;
- and
- a processing module electronically connected to the left earpiece, the right earpiece, and the microphone, the processing module configured to:
- determine a driven right leg signal to apply to each driven right leg electrode based on a reference signal generated based on signals received from the common mode sensors;
- determine a bioparameter for the user based on an audio signal collected from the microphone and EEG signals collected from the EEG sensors, wherein the EEG signals are referenced to the reference signal.
