Abstract
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communications that support downconversion in a radio frequency (RF) system. In a first aspect, an apparatus for wireless communications includes a first mixer coupled to an input node; a second mixer coupled to the input node; and a first mixer bias circuit configured to output a first local oscillator (LO) signal, the first mixer bias circuit coupled to the first mixer and to the second mixer to output the first LO signal to the first mixer and to the second mixer. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

An apparatus, comprising:
- a first mixer;
- a second mixer;
- a first shared local oscillator line coupled to the first mixer and the second mixer, the first mixer being configured to receive, from the first shared local oscillator line, a first local oscillator (LO) signal shared with the second mixer;
- a third mixer;
- a fourth mixer;
- a second shared local oscillator line coupled to the third mixer and the fourth mixer, the third mixer being configured to receive, from the second shared local oscillator line, a second LO signal shared with the fourth mixer;
- a third shared local oscillator line coupled to the first mixer and the second mixer to provide a third LO signal to the first mixer and the second mixer;
- and
- a fourth shared local oscillator line coupled the third mixer and the fourth mixer to provide a fourth LO signal to the third mixer and to the fourth mixer.
A method, comprising:
- inputting a radio frequency (RF) signal to a first mixer, a second mixer, a third mixer, and a fourth mixer;
- providing, with a first shared local oscillator (LO) line, a first LO signal to the first mixer and the second mixer;
- providing, with a second shared LO line, a second LO signal to the third mixer and the fourth mixer;
- downconverting the RF signal with the first mixer, the second mixer, the third mixer, and the fourth mixer to generate downconverted signals;
- and
- determining output data from the downconverted signals.
A harmonic rejection mixer (HRM), comprising:
- an input node configured to receive an input radio frequency (RF) signal;
- a first output node configured to output an I-channel baseband (BB) signal;
- a second output node configured to output a Q-channel baseband (BB) signal;
- a first pair of mixers coupled to the input node and configured to output a first downconverted signal to the first output node and to output a second downconverted signal to the second output node;
- a second pair of mixers coupled to the input node and configured to output the first downconverted signal to the first output node and to output a second downconverted signal to the second output node;
- a third pair of mixers coupled to the input node and configured to output the first downconverted signal to the first output node and to output a second downconverted signal to the second output node;
- a first shared local oscillator (LO) line coupled to a first mixer of the first pair of mixers and configured to provide a first LO signal to the first mixer of the first pair of mixers;
- a second shared LO line coupled to the first mixer of the first pair of mixers and configured to provide a second LO signal coupled to the first mixer of the first pair of mixers;
- a third shared LO line coupled to a second mixer of the first pair of mixers and configured to provide a third LO signal to the second mixer of the first pair of mixers;
- a fourth shared LO line coupled to the second mixer of the first pair of mixers and configured to provide a fourth LO signal to the second mixer of the first pair of mixers;
- a fifth shared LO line coupled to a first mixer of the second pair of mixers and a first mixer of the third pair of mixers, the fifth shared LO line being configured to provide a fifth LO signal to the first mixer of the second pair of mixers and the first mixer of the third pair of mixers;
- a sixth shared LO line coupled to the first mixer of the second pair of mixers and the first mixer of the third pair of mixers, the sixth shared LO line being configured to provide a sixth LO signal to the first mixer of the second pair of mixers and the first mixer of the third pair of mixers;
- a seventh shared LO line coupled to a second mixer of the second pair of mixers and a second mixer of the third pair of mixers, the seventh shared LO being configured to provide a seventh LO signal to the second mixer of the second pair of mixers and the second mixer of the third pair of mixers;
- and
- an eighth shared LO line coupled to the second mixer of the second pair of mixers and the second mixer of the third pair of mixers, the eighth shared LO line being configured to provide an eighth LO signal to the second mixer of the second pair of mixers and the second mixer of the third pair of mixers.
