Abstract
An electronic device according to one embodiment may include a connector including a power pin for supplying or receiving power to/from an external power source. The electronic device may include a first charging circuit connected to a first battery and a second charging circuit connected to a second battery. The electronic device may include power management circuitry including a first port connected to the power pin, a second port connected to a connection node of the first battery and the first charging circuit, and a third port connected to a system power line. The electronic device may include a first switch for selectively connecting the second charging circuit to the first port or the third port.
Claims15
An electronic device comprising:
- a connector comprising a power pin for supplying or receiving power in relation to an external power source device;
- a first charging circuit connected to a first battery;
- a second charging circuit connected to a second battery;
- power management circuitry comprising a first port connected to the power pin, a second port connected to the first battery and a connection node of the first charging circuit, and a third port connected to a system power line;
- and
- a first switch for selectively connecting the second charging circuit to the first port or the third port.
An electronic device comprising:
- a connector comprising a power pin for supplying or receiving power in relation to an external power source device;
- a first charging circuit connected to a first battery;
- a second charging circuit connected to a second battery;
- a power management circuitry comprising a first port connected to the power pin, a second port connected to the first charging circuit and a connection node of the second charging circuit, and a third port connected to a system power line;
- a first switch for selectively connecting the first charging circuit to the first port or the second port;
- and
- a second switch for selectively connecting the second charging circuit to the first port or the second port.
An electronic device comprising:
- a connector comprising a power pin for supplying or receiving power in relation to an external power source device;
- a charging circuit connected to a first battery;
- a limiter connected to a second battery that has a parallel relationship with the first battery;
- and
- a power management circuitry comprising a first port connected to the power pin, a second port connected to the first battery and a connection node of the limiter, and a third port connected to a system power line,
- wherein the charging circuit comprises a controller configured to control the limiter.
