Abstract
A secondary battery including an electrode assembly; a frame that surrounds a circumference of the electrode assembly so as to accommodate the electrode assembly, the frame including an insulation material; and a pair of exterior sheets sealed to the frame at both sides of the frame, respectively, and covering the electrode assembly is provided. A groove is defined in the frame so that a large sealing surface area is provided between the exterior sheets and the frame is.

A secondary battery comprising:
- an electrode assembly;
- a frame configured to surround a circumference of the electrode assembly and accommodate the electrode assembly, and including an insulation material;
- and
- a pair of exterior sheets sealed to the frame on sides of the frame, respectively, so as to cover the electrode assembly,
- wherein a groove facing an outside of the frame is defined in the frame so that a large sealing surface area is provided between a respective exterior sheet of the pair of exterior sheets and the frame.
